Car and motorcycle chase problem: finding catch-up time

Im for some reason getting 1.58 s for time. I found 1.75 m as the head start distance and then I do d=d so: 2.45t^2 = 1.75t^2 +1.75 but the answer for "a" should be 6.45s...

Why does the faster car's speed give the correct head start distance?

I solved this and got 27.3 seconds so basically what I did was found the headtsart of the slower car (15.6 m/s times 6.65 seconds) but the answer given is 33.9 seconds and it uses the second (faster cars speed) to find the head start distance. Which answer is correct and why? Thanks so much

Identifying wavelength from standing wave diagram with fractional positions

and just to confirm, when C and B meet, 1/1 T is covered? - (from the very starting position to when C and B have coincided )

Identifying wavelength from standing wave diagram with fractional positions

And then when it meets with point A, it further covers 1/4 of T?

Identifying wavelength from standing wave diagram with fractional positions

since the wavelength is 6 units and C moves over 6 units to meet B would it just be 1?

Identifying wavelength from standing wave diagram with fractional positions

but how would we use a timer if only given a diagram

Identifying wavelength from standing wave diagram with fractional positions

Points A b AND C are shown in first diagram Im confused about question three... I feel like its related to wave length but the fractions are throwing me off.

Waves -- How does increasing tension affect frequency and period?

Using this stimulation: https://phet.colorado.edu/sims/html/wave-on-a-string/latest/wave-on-a-string_en.html It looks like frequency is decreasing as I increase tension but online it says frequency increases as tension does. Also, I am unsure about what happens to the Period

Does damping affect wave frequency, wavelength, or speed?

I think increasing the damping would decrease the amplitude and increase the Period (T). But, what I'm really unsure about is the frequency, wavelength and wave speed. Would it be no effect on those three? Because if dampening acts like friction, wouldn't it slow down the wave/ increase speed?

    General work of friction question

if the Work done by friction is -4.73 for object #1 but the work done by friction for object #2 is -4.63, in which scenario is the Work greater - the signs are throwing me off. Also, let's say the initial elastic energy of a ball is 5 and its final energy is 0.27 (scenario #1) vs its final...
