Resource explaining circuit design (for newbies)

Have to re-read this a couple of times, but thanks! Very interesting breakdown :) This is the sort of thing I'm looking for, yes, although not necessarily for this particular circuit. That was just an example. So, now that we're on the subject; are there any websites/videos maybe books which...

Battery circuit, but using ground rather than negative pole?

... ehh, other than maybe connecting the resistor to the anode (+) of another battery... hehe. Still, before you pounce on me, I get it: that leaves us with two open circuits (and no current flowing). Right?

Battery circuit, but using ground rather than negative pole?

Right. Flow is from - to +, I knew that :-) But, I realize the battery circuit has to be closed for current to flow, and the LED to light, but I guess the original question was: does this really require current to flow between pole 1 and 2 (through ground)? Since I got the flow the wrong way, I...

Battery circuit, but using ground rather than negative pole?

So, the circuit would work because current goes down into pole 1. And the battery would be saved, since it can suck up fresh electrons from pole 2? :)

Resource explaining circuit design (for newbies)

I've been looking for quite some time for some tutorial/video online explaining a working circuit. I mean, consider some simple analoge circuit, with resistors and voltage dividers, caps, maybe even transistors etc etc... If this circuit performs some understandable task, then what do these...

Battery circuit, but using ground rather than negative pole?

New to the forum :) We were (trying to) discussing this at work the other day. Consider a simple battery powered circuit, with a resistor and an LED. With a battery, current is "chemically produced" in the battery and flows from the positive to the negative pole, passing through the LED...
