Battery question -- Homemade battery not working

Hey rootone ! It's a secret formula ;) haha it's alkaline in nature, non toxic.

Battery question -- Homemade battery not working

Yea I am definitely taking some notes, thanks for the link. Very helpful! And yes as far as the advancements in design I can imagine the secrecy, however when it comes down to the actual physicalweight of any standard single cell battery, even today the industry is barley able to stay above...

Battery question -- Homemade battery not working

Hey sophie Awesome reply thank you ! Yes, this makes a lot of sense, I think my big issue is the polarization created during electrolysis. Larger materials are out of the question though :) I'm afraid weight is also a factor in this case.

Battery question -- Homemade battery not working

Hey AjK thanks for your reply aswell. Yea it's more the "current" I'm after. I feel like a battery with no current is not really a practicle battery at all! so increasing current is priority #1. I can configer any number of arrangements of its layout to increase voltage yet current remains the...

Battery question -- Homemade battery not working

Interesting. Any ideas why I'm loosing current? Perhaps material size or configuration? And your right because measuring from (aaa-negative) > (homemade-positive) connected in series results in a voltage of around 1.5. rather than 3 volts... So if it's a current issue what are my options in...

Battery question -- Homemade battery not working

I was wondering if anyone could help me out here, Ive built a simple battery, using two separate types of metal (copper and zinc). Using a voltage meter I can clearly see a stable reading of 1.5 volts when connecting to the anode and cathode, however when testing this on a small moter which runs...

    Unit when multiplied or squared

Thanks for your reply! I don't think I was specific enough here, My question worded differently would be ; if Mass^2 = kg^2 What would (mass^2 multiplied by 2) = in its units? Do the units change or remain the same. I know this is a very silly question!

    Unit when multiplied or squared

Homework Statement Consider the following hypothetical question: (5 lbs•m^2) =a (5 rad/s^2) =b If (a) and (b) are each multiplied by 2 what do the units become? Similarly if (a) and (b) are squared what do the units become ?

Energy of an electron at rest?

Instead of replying directly in the "have something to add?" Column. Tap on the last response and hit reply. It's my understanding that the quotes are highlighted automatically. Hope this helps.

Energy of an electron at rest?

I'll will definately check it out ! As far as quoting someone Its my understanding that when you hit reply the previous post is quoted automatically.

Energy of an electron at rest?

----- Exactly. Although more specifically, when considering a rest particle with an associated E irrespective of multiple systems of momenta and of course it's relationship with C^2... And I appoloize as I am not familiar with the video you speak of ? From minute physics did you say?

Energy of an electron at rest?

-------- Sure. I'm not doubting whether the proof is sound, yet rather searching for another explanation for this relationship other than mass displays energy in states of "quanta", or as a wave function... As we know an electron exhibits both paticle and wave like characteristics... Such is...
