    Indeed it is! I tried starting with Weinberg, who is brilliant, but I was jumping too far ahead. Now I am reading through 'QFT for the Gifted Amateur' by Lancaster and Blundell, and Zee's 'Quantum Field Theory in a Nutshell', which are about as friendly as I think real QFT can get.
