Where is the Electric Field Zero Between Two Point Charges?

That post was full of drama is really all that i noticed...as far as this problem I will just go to the physics help lab tomorrow...I don't understand it and at this point all I am doing is getting more and more frustrated. I don't know the next step...I have beeen working on this for two days...

Where is the Electric Field Zero Between Two Point Charges?

The hint is kinda sort of helping a little... considering the charges I am thinking that the point is going to have to be 0 < x < 2 as far as the equation I am not really sure what equation I should be using to find the point on this problem once having both charges...

Where is the Electric Field Zero Between Two Point Charges?

okay...totally forgot about the plus and minus signs. So now I have a for teh first equation (plus) 6.02 x 10^-5 and for the second equation (minus) 1.58 x 10^-5 The distance given for Q2 is on the x-axis at 2m. So I am needing to find where the electrc field due to the charges is zero.

Where is the Electric Field Zero Between Two Point Charges?

Okay...so I set it up as this says... (2sqrt 1.9x10^-5)(sqrt 1.9 x 10^-5 * sqrt -(-6.5 x 10^-6) answer I received is 6.02 x 10^-5 however the answer is showing incorrect in my homework program. I am just totally confused on this one. I guess the way I was doing it at first was completely...

Where is the Electric Field Zero Between Two Point Charges?

Homework Statement A positive point charge Q1 = 1.9 x 10^-5C is fixed at the origin of coordinates, and aa negative charge Q2 = -6.5 x 10^-6C is fixed to the axis at x = +2.0m. Find the location of the place(s) along the x-axis where the electric field due to these two charges is zero. IF...

How Does Gauss's Law Apply to Net Flux in a Cube?

Oh I don't doubt that I am making it harder than it is at all...trust me, not frustrated with you guys just frustrated with myself. Gauss's Law is really not clicking for me for some reason. for face 3 through 6 i didnt use any angle because the electric flux entered through one side and...

How Does Gauss's Law Apply to Net Flux in a Cube?

I honestly don't understand...I am really lost on this one. If for some reason I am not doing this correctly or I am forgetting a step I have no idea what it is... I have read and read and I can't seem to figure out anymore than I have...

How Does Gauss's Law Apply to Net Flux in a Cube?

Is the equation EAcos\Theta[ the correct equation to use? I am so completely lost with this one... I took the part of the question "with edges parallel to the field lines" to mean that the angle theta would be 0 degrees... I took the 55cm and figured the area to be 3025 cm^2 and then...

How Does Gauss's Law Apply to Net Flux in a Cube?

[SOLVED] Help needed with Gauss's Law and Net Flux A cube of side l-55cm is placed in a uniform field E= 7.30 X10^3 N/C with edges parallel to the field lines. a. what is the net flux through the cube? b. what is the flux through each of its six faces? Face 1 perpendicular to E (field...
