Solve Turntable Problem: Find Coefficient of Friction

Well then haha, it was .145 I got it right, maybe it was looking for a special amount of sig figs. I was rounding it off.

Solve Turntable Problem: Find Coefficient of Friction

Yea, I don't know why its saying its wrong :X

Solve Turntable Problem: Find Coefficient of Friction

that answer is also wrong, i have no idea what is wrong I'm almost sure i have done it correctly

Solve Turntable Problem: Find Coefficient of Friction

i came up with the formula, Mue = v^2 / (g*r), i am getting .15 as the answer, however it is saying it is wrong.

Solve Turntable Problem: Find Coefficient of Friction

A coin is placed 10.0 cm from the axis of a rotating turntable of variable speed. When the speed of the turntable is slowly increased, the coin remains fixed on the turntable until a rate of 36 rpm is reached, at which point the coin slides off. What is the coefficient of static friction between...

Calculating Resistive Force on Water Skier: Help Needed!

Well I'm having trouble with a harder one than that if your up for helping :). I know I probably have a minor problem with it. Heres the question. A 292-kg log is pulled up a ramp by means of a rope that is parallel to the surface of the ramp. The ramp is inclined at 34.0° with respect to...

Ahh that is very easy I got the answer now. Thanks a lot

Calculating Resistive Force on Water Skier: Help Needed!

Or would that mean if the skier is moving at constant velocity that they two forces are at equilibrium and the frictional force would be 380 also or -380?

Calculating Resistive Force on Water Skier: Help Needed!

Well it says there's 380 N horizontal pulling force, is that 380 net force? Meaning including Frictional Force and The applied force?

Calculating Resistive Force on Water Skier: Help Needed!

I need to figure out the amoutn of friction that's what the problem is asking for i think

Calculating Resistive Force on Water Skier: Help Needed!

That means acceleration = zero right? But that doesn't help me because in F=ma, if a = 0 then (0)(92) = 0 for Force, and that's not correct.

Calculating Resistive Force on Water Skier: Help Needed!

A 92 kg water skier is being pulled at a constant velocity. The horizontal pulling force is 380 N. The question is asking for what is the total resistive force exerted on the skier by the water and air. I am stumped at the moment how to calculate that if anyone can help.
