Chemistry-TGhermodynamics Piston Cylinder Device question
Homework Statement A piston cylinder device with a spring attached initially contains 0.02m^3 of R-134A at 50C. A valve connected to the cylinder is opened and 20kg of R-134A enters the device from a supply line at 800kPa and 80C. The spring is compressed and the piston moves up. The process...- meeklobraca

Evaluate the integral by changing to cylindrical coordinates.
Yes that is the correct integral. IM curious as to why its from 0 to pi/2. If the x value is from -3 to 3, isn't that a half a circle, hence 0 to pi?- meeklobraca

Evaluate the integral by changing to cylindrical coordinates.
I wish I knew how to type this out with the proper symbols but here it goes. It says to change the following to cylindrical coordinates and evaluate (x^2 + y^2)^(1/2) dz dy dx where -3<=x<=3, 0<=y<=(9-9x^2)^1/2, 0<=z<=9-x^2-y^2Homework Equations The Attempt at a Solution I got 162pi/5 Would...- meeklobraca

Finding the speed of car A and car B
Homework Statement At the instant shown, race car A is passing race car B with a relative velocity of 1ft/s. Knowing that the speed of both cars are constant and that the relative acceleration of car A with respect to Car B is 0.9ft/s^2 directed toward the center of curvature, determine the...- meeklobraca

Solve for the Speed of a Car Using Doppler Effect - Homework Question
Homework Statement A car speeds towards the outside wall with its horn sounding a frequency of 160 HZ. The sound waves reflected off the wall cause the driver to hear 8.0 beats per second. There is no wind and the speed of sound is 343 m/s. Find the speed of the car. Homework Equations...- meeklobraca

Finding the phase angle of a pendulum swinging.
Homework Statement The question reads: Two identical pendulums have the same amplitude and the same length (20cm) At time t = 0, one pendulum reaches the end of its swing at x = +6 cm. At the same time the second pendulum has velocity v = -27 cm/s and sits on opposite ends of the...- meeklobraca
