I agree with xxChrisxx
A desktop would be preferable if not just for more screen real estate. UNLESS...
You are loaded in which case you should take a look at the new Alienware M18x. It is a beautiful peace of hardware with a big screen and a graphics card (or two if you feel so inclined)...
Don't know about Ivy Bridge but I guess that they would add trip chan memory since Intel obviously already has the technology to support it and must probably just be drip feeding it into the market.
For the 8 core processors I heard that the new AMD Bulldozer chips could be released in the...
Funny how they all start with "A" Avast, AVG, Avira (apart from the likes of kapersky, norton, mcaffe) haha I guess they don't all start with "A" then
Ok once i sat down and had a proper look armed with new knowledge of my mistake (thanks to Mentallic) I solved the problem.
x^2+y^2=18
x^2+(x+6)^2=18
2x^2+12x+36=18
x^2+6x+9=0
this thus factorises as
(x+3)(x+3) and hence it only intersects once as the x values are the same...
Do you mean you are running your graphics in Crossfire or the update was crossfire? Crossfire means that you are running two graphics cards in your rig. If it was the update, it means that you can now run your 5870 with a friend (I'm not sure but do they need to be the same GPU anyone in the know?)
OK I agree with all of the above. You can also buy auxiliary fans that you can install next to your graphics card in one of the free PCI slots to suck some of the heat out of the case. Also since this is happening sometimes within an hour of booting up (your S.T.A.L.K.E.R example) it could also...
PC for me
Just so much better at power computing. I guess only benefits of mac are that they look very nice, and that they er, they... Yeah so they look nice. But there are lots of PCs that look nice, for example the Dell Vostro V130 if you want looks (too weak at programs for me) or if you...
I don't think so since they use different sockets. Graphics cards use PCI express slots (or AGP for the old computers) which are completely different to the Socket 1155 used by the latest Intel chips or AM3 used by their AMD counterparts. HOWEVER! The GPU is inside a case so I don't know what...
Homework Statement
Ok hey guys this is my first post so be nice ;).
I just wanted to know how to see if a line only intersects the circle once (ie a tangent)
I know about double intersections with the quadratic and no intersection with a negative surd in the quadratic equation but is there a...
