Understanding White Gaussian Noise: Probability of Inclusion in [0.25A, 1.15A]
I am actually not familiar with that. I am a mechanical engineer and far from the idea of signals just trying to learn by myself. Could you tell the solution of this problem ? I want to understand the concept.- nightworrier

Undergrad Learning Integration with unit step function like u(x - a)
We have limits between infinite to minus infinite how can i compute when i multiply a function with an unit step function. i mean i have an integral the limits of that integral is infinite to minus infinite and inside the integral i have f(t).u(t-a) this. So how can i compute this integral ?- nightworrier

Compute the Energy of the signal
tr(0.1t-3) tr(0.2t-3) p((t-5)/4) compute the energy? As far as i know, i tried to plot the functions and calculate the area under the triangle. but i am not sure that i find the correct answer. Could you let me be sure about the answers? My answers 1st-->5 2nd-->2.5 3rd-->4- nightworrier

Understanding White Gaussian Noise: Probability of Inclusion in [0.25A, 1.15A]
Homework Statement Consider the random process X(t)=A+N(t), where A is a constant and N(t) is a white Gaussian noise with spectral density equal to 1. The process X(t) is filtered with a system with impulse response h(t)=u(t)exp(‐t/T). Compute the probability that X(t), once filtered, is...- nightworrier

Solving Sampling Frequency Exam Questions
Thank you for your answer but i have another question if you can help me , i will be appreciate... Consider x1(t) and x2(t) with bandwith B1=10 kHz and B2=15kHz. The signal y(t)=x1(t)-x2(t) is sampled. Find the minimum sampling frequency for which it is possible to recover the signal y(t) from...- nightworrier

Solving Sampling Frequency Exam Questions
hello everyone, I have an exam question about sampling frequency. Actually i really don't get the concept. I have limited sources. Question: Bandwith of x(t) 10 kHz y(t) obtained modulating x(t) with a sinus wave with frequency 30 kHz. y(t) sampled a) What is the sampling frequency...- nightworrier

Fourier transform and convolution, dirac function
I try to do the convolution. But i think at E2.13 there shouldn't be 1/4. Maybe i do something wrong. I said E2.10 x(f) Then E2.11 y(f) x(f)*y(f)=int(x(z).y(f-z)dz) right ? this is the convolution so i put E2.11 into the integral. And i subsitute f to f-z the formula becomes...- nightworrier

Fourier transform and convolution, dirac function
Hi everyone, I uploaded a solution about Fourier transform. At the solution of this problem, it states that make convolution. But i tried to do convolution but my result is not same with this result. When you do the convolution with 2.10 and 2.11, is the result 2.13 correct ? How is it done ...- nightworrier
