    Help Solving Precalculus Cot x + Tan x + 1 Problem

    here is what i got (cos x / sin x ) / (cos x - sin x / cos x ) + (sin x / cos x) / (sin x - cos x / sin x) = (cos x / sin x )*(cos x / cos x - sin x) + (sin x / cos x)*(sin x / sin x - cos x) = (cos ^2 x / cos x - sin^2 x) + (sin^2 x / sin x - cos^2 x) = (sin^2 x - 1 / cos x - sin^2 x ) +...

    Help Solving Precalculus Cot x + Tan x + 1 Problem

    Here is what i got by working on the right hand side. (cot x / 1- (sin x / cos x)) + (tan x / 1 - (cos x / sinx)) = (cot x / (cos x - sin x / cos x)) + (tan x / (sin x - cos x / sin x)) then i tried several different ways to work on the problem from this step, but it never worked.
