Molecular visualization software??
Hello,
I have recently started working in the field of biophysics and I need to produce some visualizations (pictures and movies) for the molecular coordinates that are produced by my simulation code. I am looking for visualization solutions for 1D, 2D...
Ok, i have recently been trying to learn a lot about light, and I have found that the reason the speed of light is slower in dense materials is because of the photon-atom interactions.
However, I have also been taught that when a photon is absorbed by an atom that an electron in that atom...
okay... well then what experiments support that the speed of light is constant? and can someone please explain to me how the michelen-morley interferometer works or direct me somewhere?
hey, I am looking for an experiment that prooves that the speed of light is constant as a preamble for a talk on the phenomena related to special relativity such as time dilation and length contraction.
As far as I can see many websites are claiming that the Michelson-Morley interferometer...
i think you misunderstand what i am asking, what happens when a photon mediates a electromagnetic interaction, are the photons exchanging between the paricles, if so, how do these photons know in which directing to shoot off.
now i have one more question if you don't mind.
How does elecromagnetic force get 'mediated' by a photon, are charged atoms just constantly emmitting photons in all directions? and why when a photon hits an atom with an opposite charge is it attracted?
alrite, thanks a lot guys, but now i have one more question if you don't mind.

pion u,anti-d spin = 0 mass = 0.140
rho u,anti-d spin = 1 mass = 0.770
so... are pion and rho the same or related? is the difference in spin what accounts for the difference in the mass or vice versa?
Project due tommorrow please help<-----------
hello, i am doing a project on the standard model for my school, i have two questions,
1)mesons are made of a quark and an anitquark, why don't they annihalate each other?
2)what is residual strong force all about, if each proton and neutron...
