I just don't understand how the Potential energy can contain the electron's charge twice, when there is only one charge to begin with.
there is a potential from one electron to BOTH other electrons
moment of inertia = Integrate[r^2 dm] where dm is given by a density * an appropriate differential. r is perpendicular distance from the mass element to the axis of rotation. the bounds of the integral and the dm are given by the geometry of the problem.
like how enigma said.
skin on a body is stretched. every seen before and after pictures of a very fat person before and after lipo? skin is stretched over the body. because it is stretched it subject to a restoring force. this is proportional to the amount your skin is stretched(clearly). how...
Find the volume of the outer sphere and the inner sphere. What is the volume between the spheres? How can differentials be used to get a volume? Also, the choice of a good (bad) coordinate system will make the problem much easier (harder).

ya, w is the angular frequency, not the phase angle.
i don't 100% understand what that means either. if someone could tell me what that is in 'normal' terms that would be much appreciated.these terms are confusing.
ok. i have thought up like, an example.
the distance between succesive maxima...
could someone please explain to me the phase angle? more specifically, what does it measure? i think it measures the initial displacement from the equilibrium position but i don't really get it.
think about instruments. how much tube is there for a flute or a trumpet?how much tube is there for a trombone or a tuba? which is the bigger instrument: alto saxophone or bass saxophone?
