Water leaking through floor below balcony
I don't understand exactly how the structure is. You said you have a balcony above your kitchen, you mean flat roof? When you say tiles you mean floor tiles not roof tiles, right? Can you upload a photo?- polymerou

Calculate thickness of steel square tube
I think he is asking to calculate him the value, not the way he will solve it. If it is so, you must give us some more info, like the distance between those two square tubes (36.2) on the top, and the dimensions and distances of the ribs. That's all I can think for now.- polymerou

Thermal Modelling: Ansys for Temperature Distribution in Structures
I assume most of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) programs can do those calculations, I cannot suggest you something specifically because I'm not too familiar with CFD. You can have a look in this list though, visit each website and may find what suits you most...- polymerou

What are the essential components of a basic two-stage spur gearbox?
What kind of gearbox exactly? Manual? sequential? automatic? dual clutch? zero-shift? Is like asking to ordering a pizza without mention what pizza you want. ;)- polymerou

Turning radius of a simple two-axle vehicle
If I understood correct, you looking for an equation for turning radius. For cars is called Curb-to-curb turning radius and is given as: R = Wb * Cf / Wc R = Turning radius Wb = Wheel base (Distance between front and rear wheels) Cf = Conversion factor (Is given by the manufacturer) Wc =...- polymerou

Thermal Modelling: Ansys for Temperature Distribution in Structures
Yes, Ansys can do what you asking for, but ain't that easy. I think Ansys has already a modeling tool included (not sure though) but if does not you can usually input information by importing a cloud mesh. But as I said, is not so easy.- polymerou

Calculating modulus of elasticity?
Like Mapes stated correctly, δ=F*L^3 / 3E*I Since you measured deflection you can solve as E (elasticity modulus) and you'll have it. E=I*F*L^3 / 3δ F = Force applied (1kg as you mentioned) L = Length (Length of each board) E = Elasticity modulus (You will do the math) I = Inertia...- polymerou
