hi, I've been tryign to work out the stress at a point for a T X-section area of a beam. However, the T-shape IS NOT symmetrical.
The general formula is Ixy = Ixy g + AXY (X = X bar and Y = Y bar)
I have X bar and Y bar and Area of course too.
i Dont know how to calculate the first term of...
i don't understand when u say take the torque with respect to the contact point. how does torque come in this. do i use that formula instead.. it tried that and i ended up with a T instead, how do i get rid of it?
ooooh I'm excited. i think i worked it out. :))
okay here goes.
frictional force F=I.A (A= angular acceleration)
I=mk^2, a=A.r
term i need to change is a/(g cos t)
so i did A=F/I which implies that a=Fxr/I using formula a=Ar
m previously worked out was m=N/g cos t
since I=mk^2...
yes t = theta..couldnt put the theta in the post :$
yes I've tried it..and it has worked. i summed all the forces in the X direction and Y direction and it has worked :)) thanx.
the second part of the question says:
Determine an expression for the value of F/N where the only unknowns are...
hey there I'm trying to do this problem but i don't know how to start off. could someone please help me !
basically there's a solid disc rolling down on an inclined plane (theta-t) with a radius 'r' with velocity Vc(parallel to slop)
the question asks:a wheel is rolling down variable...
alright thanx..i'm sorted now..i was making a silly mistake.. of not adding the current since they were in teh same directions! we've done example of the opposite so that's why i subtracting :) thanks for the reply.
Help - Loops Currents. :(
hey there I'm revising for an exam and i can't really do loop currents
i was trying to do this sum http://mathonweb.com/help/backgd4.htm (example2) but kept getting the rong sign for equations (for shared resistors):( could someone please explain to me!
thanx in...
