How do I stick the panel onto the shaft so it can rotate ?
hi weiszed, I already used epoxy to stick the shaft. I'll post some pics once i get everything up. Thanks anyway.- rngd

How do I stick the panel onto the shaft so it can rotate ?
The first pic is the behind of the solar panel showing the perspex that I attached to it. The second pic was a bit confusing, here are some new pics to demonstrate what i want it to be like. (Of course, my hand is just there to hold it in place) Is this still unbalanced ? Anyone else have any...- rngd

How do I stick the panel onto the shaft so it can rotate ?
Hi Q, here are some pics, the first shows the frame behind the panel and the second shows the shaft. So how do I apply the epoxy ? Only in between the shaft and perspex (only on the surfaces touching each other) or should I put like blobs which cover the shaft, and then the bottom will be...- rngd

How do I stick the panel onto the shaft so it can rotate ?
So if I place epoxy along the shaft and stick it to the perspex, it will stick well ? Because the shaft is only 5mm in diameter and the surface area exposed to stick with is quite small. I hope you get what i mean. edit: or can i place a blob epoxy over the whole shaft and then the perspex...- rngd

How do I stick the panel onto the shaft so it can rotate ?
Guys, Need some help urgently! I have a thin shaft and a rectangular solar panel. The shaft is connected to a motor shaft and will rotate. How do I stick the panel onto the shaft so it can rotate ? The simpler the solution the better.. Thank you everyone- rngd

How Do I Design a 2-Axis Solar Tracker Mechanism?
Yea, with the servo I can just attach it to the shaft without worrying about the gears, etc. Any idea how I should attach the servo shaft to the big shaft behind the panel ?- rngd

Estimating Torque for Solar Panel-Powered Servo Motor
How tiny ? The panel weighs 0.8kg. Is this servo sufficient (3.40 kg-cm torque) ? http://www.databitz.com/Resources/crservo.pdf What about the servo at the bottom (there will be some bearings below the base) ? It seems like the top would be a bit heavy. The whole frame will be made of perspex.- rngd

How Do I Design a 2-Axis Solar Tracker Mechanism?
I've been thinking of a simpler structure (see attachment) if I decide to use servo motors instead. Any comments ? The round base would probably be made smaller.- rngd

Estimating Torque for Solar Panel-Powered Servo Motor
I would need the servo shaft to rotate a total of 135 degrees, rotating a few degrees every half an hour for eight hours (It will operate like a stepper, stepping during each hour). The speed of rotation is not important, as long as it rotates. The panel's length is 32cm and height is 18 cm. It...- rngd

Estimating Torque for Solar Panel-Powered Servo Motor
Guys, I have a solar panel screwed onto a shaft which connects directly to a servo motor shaft. How much should the torque rating of the servo be to be able to rotate it ? I mean an estimate of the minimum torque required. The panel weighs 0.8kg plus a few grams for the solar panel holder (made...- rngd
