I think this can be explained through the Persistance of vision. When we view an object, and if suddenly the object is removed, we will sill continue to sense that the object is still there (till about a sixteenth of a second). Hence if the object is repeatly replaced within 1/16 of a second...
can u please explain this? i got that the frquency of the light will change with change in it's energy ... but why will the plane of polarization rotate ?
Again is it that the enatiomers will act like a polarizer? - just allowing the light whose electric field (or one of it's components) in...
Can anyone tell me the reason why an enatiomer rotates the plane of polarised light? Or at least tell me where i can read more on the reason why some compounds exibit optical activity.
