If you're in a hurry to finish undergrad then talk to your advisor and come up with a schedule. Otherwise just take the math and physics classes that interest you and figure out a degree later.- Serpa

Got rejected by REUs now what should I do?
Some universities have a sort of "self-study/self-research" class that you sign up for. Basically you meet with a professor, discuss a project or area of interest to you, and work it on your own for credit. It won't really help you much on a transcript, but if you do well that professor will...- Serpa

Programs Which is Best for Pursuing a Math or Physics Ph.D: Double Major or Dual Degree?
I can't say for certain, you should speak with your advisor. I imagine that instead of the two years of lower division, two years of upper division physics, and two years of upper division mathematics for a double major, the combined honors is just less physics and more math.- Serpa

The dual degree option that you linked is meant for people who want to teach at a high school level. What you want is a double major in science. You should read http://www.calendar.ubc.ca/vancouver/index.cfm?tree=12,215,410,1468" page for more information.- Serpa

They're mainly concerned with your GRE scores, GPA (~3.0-3.3 isn't really a good GPA), letters of recommendation, research, and related extracurriculars...- Serpa

Programs Which math classes should I take to compliment a Physics degree?
It is really tempting. All of them look interesting (except for Actuarial Mathematics). But if I took another year for more math electives, I wouldn't graduate until I was 25. Isn't that a little old? The description for Mathematical Modeling reads: A variety of mathematical modeling...- Serpa

Programs Which math classes should I take to compliment a Physics degree?
Or really any sort of general mathematical concepts that might not be covered in a traditional undergraduate physics curriculum. I can always find the specific class later.- Serpa

Programs Which math classes should I take to compliment a Physics degree?
I'm working on a Physics/Mathematics double major at Oregon State, primarily focusing on physics, and I want to know which upper division math courses best synthesize with a physics program in graduate school. Right now I'm leaning toward Astrophysics. Of the classes described...- Serpa
