B.) Mass Defect & Binding Energy for Astatine 21885At
hmm, rerunning it i get the 2.7 x 10^-7 Joules too, not sure how i got the other number the first time... maybe I wrote it down wrong- StudentofPhysics

B.) Mass Defect & Binding Energy for Astatine 21885At
i did the following: 1.810725 u x 1.6605 x 10^-27 Kg = 3.00671 x 10^-27 Kg 3.00671 x 10^-27 Kg x (c^2) = 5.5715 x 10^-12 J 5.5715 x 10^-12 J / 1.6 x 10^-19 J = 34821826.4 eV = 34.82 MeV- StudentofPhysics

B.) Mass Defect & Binding Energy for Astatine 21885At
ok I'm getting it equals 34.8 MeV and this isn't right what am I doing wrong here. Again, my book shows how to convert from kg in J then into eV then into MeV.And I had to use u because that was the required unit in the first part of the problem- StudentofPhysics

Calculate K X-ray photon energy of osmium using Bohr model | K Alpha Energy Q1
1. The atomic number of osmium is Z = 76. According to the Bohr model, what is the energy (in joules) of a K X-ray photon? 2. ? 3. The reason I left relavent eqns blank is because I used the following: En = -(13.6) Z^2/n^2 subtracting one from Z before squaring and converting...- StudentofPhysics

Line Spectra of Li2+ & Be3+: Shortest Wavelength
ok, i misunderstood what nf should be. I figured it out now by solving for it by the first given wavelength then applying that number as the nf for the second. Thank you.- StudentofPhysics
