Hello. I retired 8 years ago from the Next Era Solar Thermal Power Plant located at Kramer Junction CA. I also worked at the old Newhall Oil Refinery in CA and for Cal Gas in Bishop/Mammoth Lakes CA. Held a Steam Engineer's License. So much for work. I am a Ham radio operator, Call Sign WD6HAR. Built my own 55 foot antenna mast. I designed and built my own 2500 watt solar electric 24 volt DC to 120/ 240 AC power system with a ground mount sun tracking system of my own design that powers about 80% of my home. Took collage Physics Class, received a grade of A at 93%.
I have built Solar water and air heaters. I have built two Stirling Cycle Engines, one of them of my new unique design. I am exploring the idea of an electric vehicle conversion also a human powered water craft to break the single person powered water craft speed record.
