Calculating Vector Components at 45 Degrees

the question i got was: will the horizontal and vertical components of a vector at 45degrees to the horizontal be larger or smaller than the vector? By how much? so far this is what i understand the vertical and horizontal components form a right angle and the vector is the line in the...

Calculate Height of Steamboat Geyser in Yellowstone Park

nope that's all she gave us, the reason i thouhgt it had to do with air resistance was beacuse these qeustions are supposed to be based on the section we read on air resistance, projectile motion etc.

Calculate Height of Steamboat Geyser in Yellowstone Park

i know this has to do with air resistance but what is the equation for it so i could use it for this problem? The Steamboat Geyser in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming is capable of shooting its hot water up from the ground with a speed of 48.0m/s. How high can this geyser shoot?

Calculating Resultant Velocity for Two Equal Velocities at Right Angles

k thank you, that helped a lil...would this be the right answer then: Since both velocities are equal we have to times one of the sides by the square root of 2. Which means that the reluctant velocity is 141.4.

How Long Does Tara Have Before She Crashes?

Since the second car only could have be seen 30m ahead he is starting 30m, and Tara starts with 0. Then after the first second Tara is at 27m and the second car is at 40m. At the 2nd second the second car is at 50m and Tara is at 54m, meaning she would have crashed at about 2 seconds

How Long Does Tara Have Before She Crashes?

Tara is driving at 27 m/s through a fog that limits her visibility to 30m. She suddenly sees a car in front of her traveling in the same direction at 10 m/s. if she fails to apply the brakes, how much time does she have between seeing the car and crashing into it? how do you do this question?
