Anyone know the Ka for Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.4). I have heard that it is 6.2E-8, but the formula says .008M Na2HPO4, .002M KH2PO4. Using Henderson Haselbalch, [H+] = Ka[KH2PO4]/[Na2HPO4] using pH of 7.4, Ka = 1.59E-7. Which one is correct?
If I have a tank of compressed air with 5% CO2 and 95% air, and I know the flow rate coming out of the tank is 0.01 LPM, how do I determine the number of [moles/L] of CO2 coming out of the tank?
I bubbled 5% CO2 through a needle into 30 mL of PBS open to atmosphere (25C) for approximately one hour and reduced the pH from 7.40 to 6.48. I was wondering if I can find the concentration of CO2 in the solution over time with one known (pH) using the Henderson-Haselbalch equation? I am...
