    I don't quite get how food is considered chemical energy. Can someone clear this up and explain it to me?

    Why does water boil faster in a kettle then on the stove?

    This is probably a silly question, but it got me thinking. Why does water boil faster in an electric kettle then in a pot on a stove. Is it because a kettle can generate more heat energy? Anyone have any thoughts?

    Why do noodles make the soup boil?

    If anything I would think that the noodles would lower the emperture because you are adding something room temperature to something hot. Its possible that the noodles would raise the volume of the water causing it to overflow when it boiled.
