In Helliwell's SR book, he says "every new theory swallows the previous one whole"! Newton is inside SR, which is inside GR, which will be inside a Quantum theory of gravity.

I am not learning, I just listen from time to time about this theories. Learning mean do physics=do calculation.
As I already said, I don't wont learn something that will be completely different for 100+ years, when we figure out what gravity and quantum world really is ..

It will not be different in a hundered years. What you learn now will be just the same then. There will be more things to learn, but the theories that you learn now will still be there. A hundred years ago people learned general relativity, today they also do that, in a hundred years they will still do it.

I wrote 100+ years
 
For myself, I find Newtonian dynamics interesting even though it's 300+ years old and "superseded" by GR.
And the same for Maxwell's electrodynamics.

What Aristotelian physics?

What about Archimedes? The law of lever, the buoyancy principle, and everything else he did is still taught and is still relevent today.

Perhaps. But the work of Dunning and Kruger will remain as relevant as ever.

That is true, but I like that the geometric algebra shows that it all comes from one concept/methodology, based on very basic considerations. That is intellectually pleasing to me.
