I thought you might be on vacation, or of course, at our age, dead.
I've got half a dozen PF members who are also Facebook friends, and I'm hoping they'll let you know when I've moved on to the great science experiment in the sky.

It certainly is interesting getting old. 7 of my 49 listed FB friends are no longer with us.

Phew! One more day and I was going to hang up posting.

I've got half a dozen PF members who are also Facebook friends, and I'm hoping they'll let you know when I've moved on to the great science experiment in the sky.

It certainly is interesting getting old. 7 of my 49 listed FB friends are no longer with us.

After a a heavy rain I went out into the back yard to clear a drain that was supposed to carry water out under the wall. I knelt down and tried but couldn't do it. When I tried to get up I couldn't get up, but I did fall face first into the standing water. For some reason my old legs just wouldn't work. I resorted to calling for help for the first time in my life and a neighbor heard me. He came over and drug/carried me into a chair under the patio.

For three days my lower legs were totally numb and useless. Then on the fourth day I could stand again with a walker. They never did figure out what caused the temporary paralysis. I spent a week in a rehab center where I met some really wonderful people.

Weird. This sounds like the story of my life for the last 20+ years.
It sounds like you waited until the last minute and did everything at once!
This is why I post periodically on my FB page about new medical/physical things that go haywire.
As with most things, the geriatrics got confused and assumed:

a. I'm asking for help​

b. I'm asking for medical advice​

c. I'm a man, and therefore incapable of caring for myself​

d. all of the above​

The last time I posted, I had to make the disclaimer that I was posting the information because there seems to be no list of "things that will go wrong at what year in your life and will catch you off guard", and the information is purely informational.

Given that both my grandfathers died before I was born, met only one of my grandmothers incidentally, and my mom and dad split up when I was 8, my experience with others getting old has been extremely limited.
