Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around the question of why light falls into a black hole despite having no mass. Participants explore the implications of gravity on light and the nature of black holes, touching on both classical and relativistic perspectives.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant questions why light, which has no mass, falls into a black hole.
  • Another participant references a previous discussion that may provide additional context or answers.
  • A third participant argues that, even in Newtonian physics, the acceleration due to gravity is independent of mass, suggesting that the initial objection to light falling into a black hole is flawed.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express differing views on the relationship between mass and gravitational effects on light, indicating that multiple competing perspectives remain in the discussion.

Contextual Notes

The discussion does not resolve the underlying assumptions about gravity and light, nor does it clarify the definitions of mass in this context.

why the light fell into the black hole whether it have no mass.

Even within Newtonian physics an objects acceleration due to gravity is independent of its mass, so the objection you presented, though quite common, is completely baseless.
