On November 24 1859, Charles Darwin published his On the Origin of Species. This a day for celebration, because it is not only a science book, it was the beginning of a story about us!

At the time of publication, it seem to have cost fifteen shillings. Almost all of the works by Darwin can be found at The Complete Work of Charles Darwin Online. The PDF of the original book (original photocopies of the first edition) can be found http://darwin-online.org.uk/pdf/1859_Origin_F373.pdf

Can't wait until Darwin Day (12th February).

I forgot to thank you for the NOVA heads up and links, so I'll do it here. It's amazing how science can turn you into a little child, awestruck by its beauty.
