Hello,

I have found references giving the equation for an ABC model for GaN-based LEDs (see: file://icnas3.cc.ic.ac.uk/lsm16/materials-10-01233.pdf), but I am not able to find any for simple GaAs infrared LEDs (LED information: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/ir-leds/8108247/#). Does similar model exist for this LED?

Hi,
I don’t think you will find an ABC model for GaAs devices. As I understand it (and I’m way rusty on this) the ABC model is an empirical model to describe the performance droop in nitride-based devices. As far as I’m aware GaAs devices don’t exhibit a performance droop and if they do it would probably be due to very different mechanisms, so the ABC model would be unlikely to work well.
