Acceleration of mass in rotating frame after catch release

i am facing problem in attempting the peoblem attached below

if i work in the non inertial frame (the rotating)

shouldn't the acceleration of m_a after the catch is removed

be simply =[tex]\omega[/tex]2ra

The masses are connected with a rope. The centrifugal forces on them work in opposite direction. If [itex]m_a = m_b[/itex] and [itex]l = 2 r_a[/itex] The acceleration is obviously 0.
