Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the integration of relativity into a gravity animation, specifically exploring the comparative aspects of Einstein's theory of gravity and quantum gravity. Participants express anticipation for future insights and developments in this area.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Conceptual clarification

Main Points Raised

  • edguy99 mentions a shift in perspective regarding gravity, proposing it as a field affecting kinematics rather than a geometric effect on spacetime.
  • Several participants express eagerness for the comparative analysis between Einstein's gravity and quantum mechanics.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants generally agree on the interest in the comparative analysis of Einstein's gravity and quantum gravity, but there is no consensus on the nature of gravity itself, as different perspectives are presented.

Contextual Notes

Some assumptions about the nature of gravity and spacetime are not fully articulated, leading to potential ambiguity in the discussion.

I'm looking forward to the Einstein and quantum gravity comparative. I've just recently taken the perspective of gravity not being a geometric effect on spacetime specifically, but instead a field that affects the kinematics via...not spacetime.
