AI Thread Summary
Photoshop CS6 users encountering the error message "Could not load actions because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered" may face issues with the program not opening. Possible solutions include checking if the application is being launched directly rather than through an image file, as a corrupted image file could trigger this error. Re-installing Photoshop is another suggested fix, although it may not resolve the issue if the problem lies with the image file itself. For further troubleshooting, users can refer to specific online resources and forums that address similar issues.

Greetings.
When I tried to start Photoshop CS6 I received error message Could not load actions because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered and the program would not open.
Any ideas?
How to make photoshop fix?

Thanks

I assume you want to open photoshop just as an app by itself, not just kicking it up from some image file that you want to do things with?
If not then the problem might be that the image file is corrupted, photoshop can't make sense of it.
A solution for this kind of dilemma can be to re-install the misbehaving software, but that won't help if the image file is corrupted.

Well, the date has now passed, and Windows 10 is no longer supported. Hopefully, the readers of this forum have done one of the many ways this issue can be handled. If not, do a YouTube search and a smorgasbord of solutions will be returned. What I want to mention is that I chose to use a debloated Windows from a debloater. There are many available options, e.g., Chris Titus Utilities (I used a product called Velotic, which also features AI to prevent your computer from overheating etc...
