In a non-inverting op-amp configuration with V+ at 2.5 volts and V- not connected, the output voltage is expected to be 2.5 volts as well, assuming ideal conditions. The V- terminal, being disconnected, can theoretically float at either 0 or 2.5 volts, but in practice, it will be influenced by the output voltage through the resistor connecting them. The discussion highlights the importance of input bias current and its effect on the circuit's behavior. The resistor's current source and voltage drop are critical factors to consider in this scenario. Overall, the output voltage remains at 2.5 volts under these conditions.

suppose an amplifier with V+ is 2.5 volts
and V- is not connected...V- and Voutput are connected by a resistor.
what is the voltage on the outpout of the op amp?

This is a non-inverting op-amp configuration with a gain of one, sometimes called a voltage follower.

+2.5v.

the V- is not connected. (even not connected to ground reference)
the voltage at V- is zero or +2.5 volts like V+ or what?
thank you

Thread 'I thought it was only Amazon that sold unsafe junk'
I grabbed an under cabinet LED light today at a big box store. Nothing special. 18 inches in length and made to plug several lights together. Here is a pic of the power cord: The drawing on the box led me to believe that it would accept a standard IEC cord which surprised me. But it's a variation of it. I didn't try it, but I would assume you could plug a standard IEC cord into this and have a double male cord AKA suicide cord. And to boot, it's likely going to reverse the hot and...
