AI Thread Summary
In the ANSYS forum discussion about missing main menu options, a user encountered an issue accessing the List Results option under General Post-Proc while working on a truss tutorial. They confirmed they had followed the necessary steps to solve the current load step but still faced the problem. Other users suggested checking element properties and ensuring that additional output properties were set for the elements being used. The original poster later confirmed that they resolved the issue with the help provided. This highlights the importance of verifying element settings in ANSYS for successful result retrieval.

ANSYS help--missing main menu options

I am trying to make my way through a truss tutorial in ANSYS, but when I go to General Post-Proc>List Results>Reaction Solution, there is no List Results option in the menu.

I've double checked and have definitely gone through the Solution>Solve>Current LS step.

Thanks for any help or advice!

Have you read the results> Read Results>Last Step

Thanks

For that do you need to have an element table established? It's been a while.

No, you don't need to have an element table. I am assuming you that you are using Beam3 elements to represent the truss geometry. Check the element properties, some of the elements require you to set them to include additional output properties. I check my ANSYS version 10 and didn't have any problems.

Thanks

Thanks for your help! Got it to work.

Thread 'How can I find the cleanout for my building drain?'
I am a long distance truck driver, but I recently completed a plumbing program with Stratford Career Institute. In the chapter of my textbook Repairing DWV Systems, the author says that if there is a clog in the building drain, one can clear out the clog by using a snake augur or maybe some other type of tool into the cleanout for the building drain. The author said that the cleanout for the building drain is usually near the stack. I live in a duplex townhouse. Just out of curiosity, I...
Hi all, I have a question. So from the derivation of the Isentropic process relationship PV^gamma = constant, there is a step dW = PdV, which can only be said for quasi-equilibrium (or reversible) processes. As such I believe PV^gamma = constant (and the family of equations) should not be applicable to just adiabatic processes? Ie, it should be applicable only for adiabatic + reversible = isentropic processes? However, I've seen couple of online notes/books, and...
