Are These Right Angle Projections Accurate?

Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the accuracy of right angle projections of various objects as presented in a series of images. Participants are evaluating the correctness of these projections in the context of a homework assignment.

Discussion Character

  • Homework-related
  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • Some participants suggest that the projections appear correct but note a possible missing hidden line in the lower drawing of the third link.
  • Concerns are raised about some hidden lines appearing too solid, prompting a need for closer inspection.
  • Questions are posed regarding which specific angle projection was required for the assignment, such as whether it was a first or third angle projection.
  • One participant identifies a potential missing hidden line in the top right quarter of an image, despite the presence of a faint construction line.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants generally agree that there are issues with the projections, particularly regarding hidden lines, but there is no consensus on the overall accuracy or which specific projections may be incorrect.

Contextual Notes

Participants express uncertainty about the specific requirements for the angle projections, which may affect their evaluations. There is also ambiguity regarding the identification of missing lines and the interpretation of the images.

They look ok to me except for:

A possible missing hidden line (horizontal dashed line) on third link lower drawing.

Some of the hidden lines look a bit "solid". I had to zoom into check.

Were you told which angle projection they had to be (eg first or third)?

The missing line is at the second picture of the third link right? Could you tell me which projection (the upper right/ left/ the lower) might be wrong?

Yes the projection in the top right quarter of this image appears to be missing a hidden line although there is a faint construction line for it?
