I like to know some concept about ball lenses (spherical lenses) specially when they are in contact with each other. I googled it but nothing. I will really be thankful if anyone can help me.

Try googling "Glass sphere optics". I got a few interesting hits.
I did find this, which may help. The focus of a glass sphere is very close to the surface so multiple spheres would be difficult to use?

Have you seen them used to record hours of sunshine in seaside towns? They burn a line in a sheet of paper as the Sun goes across the sky.

See also raindrops and rainbows!

Thank you, I have already read that webpage. I need more information.
