I notice that @AlexB is banned.

On first blush, I suspect that this is part of a test; he spoke to me about wanting to be blocked temporarily as an experiment. Did he also speak to the moderators about a similar experiment?

Okay, I spoke with the Mentor who did it, and he says that Alex requested a 10-day temporary ban from PF to see what it looked like to be banned. He asked me about it in our long PM conversation a few weeks ago, but I recommended that he not try it. Looks like he decided to try another Mentor, LOL. He'll be back soon enough, and hopefully will comment in this thread about his experience...

...It all started nearly ten years ago.
It was just weekends at first, just for a laugh with mates, only reading not posting.
Within a few months I was doing pf at least twice a day.
When I gave all my pop sci books to charity I knew I had a problem...
