AI Thread Summary
For international students pursuing a degree in astronautics, several top universities offer scholarships, including MIT, which is noted for its astronautics program. It's important to research specific scholarship opportunities for international students at each institution. A competitive GPA is typically required for admission, often around 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, though this can vary by university. Additionally, strong GRE scores are essential, with many programs expecting scores above the 80th percentile. For those interested in astrophysics, similar criteria apply, and universities like Stanford and Caltech are recognized for their astrophysics programs, also offering scholarships to international students.

hey guys,
I'm an international student studying mechanical engineering in India for my undergrad. I wanted to graduate in astrophysics, but apparently I'll need a physics degree for that, and as I think its a bit to late to shift, I figure the closest thing would be graduation in astronautics. I was wondering what the best universities are for this degree. I know MIT offers an astronautics degree, but does it give scholarships to international students?. please do only give me the names of those universities that offer scholarships to international students as I'm not equipped to pay the entire tuition. Also, what kind of GPA would I be needing to get into one of these universities with scholarships? And what scores would I be needing on my GRE's? Thanks guys.....

Hey, I am Andreas from Germany. I am currently 35 years old and I want to relearn math and physics. This is not one of these regular questions when it comes to this matter. So... I am very realistic about it. I know that there are severe contraints when it comes to selfstudy compared to a regular school and/or university (structure, peers, teachers, learning groups, tests, access to papers and so on) . I will never get a job in this field and I will never be taken serious by "real"...
