I am researching different types of physics subfields and the job outlook for each. I know that astrophysics or particle physics don't exactly have the best prospects, for example. What are the sub-fields of physics where PhDs can find excellent jobs in research? I know accelerator physics and biophysics are examples where there is applied research being done.
