I'm not sure what you need explained. Going from b to the floor takes a certain about of time. So, in that same time the marble travels a vertical distance and a horizontal distance.

The marble is traveling horizontally when it leaves the table. So the vertical speed is 0. That's all you need to find the time, regardless of the horizontal velocity.
