Car Suspension: Analysing Forces & Specifications

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on analyzing forces on car suspension systems, specifically in relation to potholes. Key specifications required include dimensions, rates of dampers and springs, stiffness ratios, and moments of inertia. Participants emphasize the need for standard car suspension data, indicating that comprehensive information is available online but may require thorough searching. A relevant thread on Physics Forums is suggested for further insights.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of car suspension systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical properties such as stiffness and damping
  • Familiarity with moment of inertia calculations
  • Basic research skills to locate technical specifications online
NEXT STEPS
  • Research standard car suspension specifications for various models
  • Study the principles of suspension damping and spring rates
  • Learn about calculating moments of inertia for suspension components
  • Explore the Physics Forums thread on suspension analysis for additional data

car suspension !

hi guys !
I'm analysing the forces on car suspension due to potholes as my project!
I need complete data and specifications of a typical type of suspension , such as dimensions, rates od damper and spring , stiffness ratio , moment of interia .
On other hand I couldn't find out any complete data about it !
I don't car which car or suspension choosed just tha case must be standard car !
any help .!
Regards
