Carbon Dioxide Extraction Inquiry

Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion centers on the process of extracting carbon dioxide as a waste residue from industrial processes, focusing on its purification and transformation into liquid carbon dioxide. Participants express interest in the materials and energy involved in this process, particularly in relation to its application in the dry cleaning industry.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation, Homework-related

Main Points Raised

  • One participant seeks information on the conversion of carbon dioxide from waste gas to liquid form, emphasizing the materials and energy involved.
  • Another participant questions whether the focus should be on liquid or solid carbon dioxide.
  • Links to external resources are provided, which may contain relevant information on carbon dioxide processing.
  • A later reply indicates that the information is particularly useful for research related to the dry cleaning industry, highlighting the relevance of one of the provided links.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants have not reached a consensus, as there are differing focuses on the state of carbon dioxide (liquid vs. solid) and the specific applications being discussed.

Hi. I am trying to find information with no luck on google. I am hoping someone here can help point me to any articles or books that talk about how carbon dioxide is taken as a waste residue from an industrial process and purified, and turned into liquid carbon dioxide. But the focus is on how it goes from bad waste gas to clean liquid form. I am particularly interested in the materials and energy that are associated with doing this.

Liquid? Or solid?

This is fantastic thanks. this is part of some research I'm doing on the dry cleaning industry and since one of those links is from linde gas which is a supplier of CO2 to the dry cleaning industry it makes it all the more perfect.
