There's a Happy Australia Day?

It's just Australia Day - Jan 26 - the date commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove, New South Wales in 1788 and the proclamation at that time of British sovereignty over the east coast region of Australia.

Thanks Ryan :)

yup the weekend started well but the weather has turned blah with heavy rains flooding and tornadoes along the NE coast of Australia. Just very wet here in Sydney

Here's a trivia question...Australia is one home to what us biologists call "pre-eutherian" (pre-placental) mammals, such as the kangaroo (marsupial) and the Echinda (monotreme). What distinguishes their brains from post-Eutherian mammals?

They use anti-gravity to avoid falling off the world!

Very funny. I recently heard that the water going down the toilet in the opposite direction was an urban myth. Is this true or does water spin clockwise in Seattle and counterclockwise in Brisbane?

I would say myth. Surely the shape of the toilet bowl, or other more local factors, will have much more of an effect than the Coriolis force.
