SUMMARY

Several effective circuit simulator software options for Windows were discussed, including Qucs, MultiSim, PSpice, and LTSpice. Qucs is an open-source tool suitable for various circuit simulations, while MultiSim offers a trial version for users. PSpice, particularly its student version, is recommended for analog circuit simulations. Additionally, Ngspice is highlighted for mixed circuit simulations, and Logisim is noted as a free option for digital circuits.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation concepts
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuit design
  • Basic knowledge of open-source software
  • Experience with Windows operating systems
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore Qucs for open-source circuit simulation
  • Investigate PSpice for advanced analog circuit analysis
  • Learn about Ngspice for mixed circuit simulations
  • Research Logisim for digital circuit design and simulation
USEFUL FOR

Electronics engineers, students in electrical engineering, hobbyists designing circuits, and anyone interested in circuit simulation software for Windows.

does anyone know of a good circuit simulator software that runs on windows?

Multi-sim the very least you can get without paying is a trial, also eagle is fairly decent just takes some getting used too

I like PSpice, the student version is free. The circuit response simulator works very well.

It depends what kind of circuit you want to simulate.SPICE is the best for analog circuits. I also like EDA tool, you can find it for free online ( it's open source). There are a lot of good digital cicuit simulators out there. Eg, Logisim (free), klogic etc. There are also some more specific simulators like Ngspice for mixed circuit ( digital+analog).

You may also want to give LTSpice a try.
