SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on creating alternative bond representations in Isis Draw and Chem Draw Ultra, specifically drawing a pentagon (cyclopentane) with a semicircle inside it. Users express the need for professional representations commonly found in scientific journals. While Chem Draw Ultra offers manual drawing options, users seek automated solutions for semicircles within pentagons. Templates in Chem Draw are noted, but they do not meet the specific requirement of a semicircle.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with Chem Draw Ultra version features
  • Understanding of chemical structure representations
  • Basic skills in using drawing tools within software
  • Knowledge of template utilization in Chem Draw
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore Chem Draw Ultra's advanced drawing features
  • Research how to create custom templates in Chem Draw
  • Learn about alternative bond representations in chemical drawing
  • Investigate Isis Draw capabilities for similar tasks
USEFUL FOR

Chemists, researchers, and professionals in scientific publishing who require precise chemical structure representations in their work.

I want to know how to draw a pentagon (cyclopentane) with a semicircle in it (to represent the alternative bond)..this kind of representations are widely use in many journals..
