The discussion centers around the Cricket World Cup 2011, with participants expressing varying levels of interest and support for different teams, particularly India, Pakistan, and Australia. Many members, especially from India, are enthusiastic about the tournament, highlighting the excitement and atmosphere surrounding cricket in their country. The matches have produced surprising outcomes, such as Ireland's victory over England and Pakistan's inconsistent performances. Participants debate the quality of pitches and the dominance of batsmen in limited-overs cricket, with some expressing concern over the balance of the game shifting too far in favor of batting. The conversation also touches on individual performances, with players like Kevin O'Brien and Afridi receiving praise. As the tournament progresses, there is anticipation for key matches, particularly between India and Pakistan, with discussions about team strengths and weaknesses. The thread captures the competitive spirit and camaraderie among fans, despite differing national loyalties, and reflects on the unpredictability of cricket, making it an engaging World Cup experience.

Not, good enough, if you ask me. Sri Lanka have not yet been limited to less than 260-odd runs. Unless the English bowlers can pull off a performance like the one against SA, I don't think we'll see them Trotting to the finish line. Of course, Sri Lanka will have to pitch in, and provide the kind of spectacular collapse that is nearly becoming par for the course at this World Cup.

That's one of the worst fielding performances I have ever seen in an international match by SL

:frown: Australia lost... I'm one of the few Pakistanis who wanted Aus to win. :-p I felt really bad for the Aussies losing. And the idea of Pak vs Ind doesn't excite me at all, unlike everyone else in the sub-continent.

You are a traitor....

Oh you're sadly mistaken bro. We're going to take a dump on the Indian team and you will have to watch in pain.

haha don't fight. Both the teams have the ability to turn the game at any point. I see a 50-50 chance.

Yes, sir. Not "technically" since I was born in and am now studying in the US but I've lived most of my life in Pakistan.

I'm USA... the name is pure deception, but since any cricket team we put together would be a national embarresment, I have to pick international teams. I'm a big fan of India, Pakistan, AU, and Sri... mostly I just enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or cocoa and watching a test or tourny.
