Im trying to write something up, and I want a more detailed explanation of this calculation (image below) - Can anyone give it a go? Thanks in advance

I am trying to find a graphic/image that best suits calculations that have to do with acceleration and gravity, so if anyone has one, please do share! THanks

That is an incredibly simple 'calculation,' its basically just a definition. You're going to have to be more specific on what you're looking for.
 
The picture is simply a description of Newton's law of gravity.
 
it says that the force due to gravity each ball experiences is equal to the product of their masses over the square of the distance separating them.

note that each object experiences the same force but does not experiences the same acceleration IF they are of different masses.
 
It is easier to conceptualize if you reduce them to point sources, which is the usual practice.
