Engineering: Is a masters degree basically required these days?

Can you get into a decent position with only a 4-year degree?

The majority of working engineers do not have masters' degrees. You may not get your "dream job" with only a BS, but you should have no problem finding employment, at least in most geographic areas. After a few years of experience, it's almost a moot point.

My sister got a BS in Industrial Engineerings and ended up going into law. My dad worked as an Electrical Engineer for many years with a BS. Then later his company paid for a MBA. I'd say it's atleast a fantastic stepping stone into many areas.
