Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the concept of stable planetary magnetic grid systems, exploring historical accounts and the validity of such theories. Participants question whether there are any tested or testable theories related to these grids and seek to understand if any magnetic variances exist that cannot be explained by geology or other established methods.

Discussion Character

  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant notes the existence of proposals for stable planetary magnetic grid systems, questioning their scientific validity and whether any can be distinguished from pseudo-science.
  • Another participant asks for clarification on what is meant by "stable planetary magnetic grid systems" and requests specific references.
  • A different participant expresses skepticism about the existence of a magnetic grid system, suggesting that it sounds like "woo woo science."
  • One participant wonders if there is any scientific basis for the concept and if it was ever generally accepted in the past.
  • A later reply indicates that, after searching, no peer-reviewed studies supporting the idea have been found in the scientific literature, suggesting it may be pseudoscience.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express skepticism regarding the validity of stable planetary magnetic grid systems, with no consensus on their scientific basis. Multiple competing views remain, particularly regarding the classification of these theories as pseudo-science.

Contextual Notes

Participants highlight the lack of peer-reviewed studies and express uncertainty about the historical acceptance of the concept, indicating limitations in available evidence and definitions.

In conducting research into historical accounts of Earths magnetic field, I consistently come across proposals of stable planetary magnetic grid systems; many of these theories which have apparently been developed through much time and effort. While I am unaware of any theory that cannot be readily dismissed as pseudo-science or new-age, are there any tested (or testable) theories concerning stable planetary magnetic grids; or even any known magnetic variances that cannot be explained by underlying geology or other provable methods? Is anyone aware of a time when any such theories were generally accepted - say, during the 1700's; or Victorian / Edwardian age?

What do you meay by "stable planetary magnetic grid systems"? Can you give some specific references?

Not that I'm aware of.

After some searching based on the above website we have been unable to find any peer reviewed studies supporting this idea in the professional scientific literature. As such, it seems to be pseudoscience and we will leave this topic closed.

If someone is able to find such a reference please send me a PM and we can reopen.
