MHB Experiment finding particles travelling faster than light

Click For Summary
The discussion centers on the controversial topic of particles purportedly traveling faster than the speed of light (FTL). Recent articles from the Los Angeles Times and BBC present conflicting reports on the replication of the original experiment that suggested FTL neutrinos. The Los Angeles Times indicates that the repeat did not yield the same results, while the BBC claims it did. Participants highlight that the initial findings were later deemed flawed due to a hardware issue, specifically a loose fiber optic cable, which has raised questions about the validity of the FTL claims. The confusion stems from the differing interpretations of the experimental outcomes and the implications for our understanding of physics.

Has the discovery of particles traveling faster than the speed of light had any more backing or refuting? A Los Angeles Times Article talked of a repeat of the experiment that does not match the same speed. However in a BBC article claims they repeated the experiment with the same speed. Now I'm confused:confused:

I would provide links but my post count is not high enough.

I believe it has been shown the experiment that suggested the existence of FTL neutrinos was flawed due to a hardware malfunction (loose cable).

Right. It was a loose fiber optic cable, to be exact.
