For graduate-level experimental particle physics, "Introduction to High Energy Physics" by Perkins is recommended as a key resource. Participants express a need for more practical, experimental-focused literature in the field. Suggestions also include looking into specific research papers and technical manuals that detail experimental techniques. The discussion emphasizes the importance of hands-on experience and understanding experimental setups. Overall, there is a clear demand for resources that bridge the gap between theory and practical application in particle physics.

I' m interested in experimental particle physics (graduate level). All books I know are focused on theory, do you know any book which focus on experiment?
tnx
i am self learning physics. have you ever worked your way backwards again after finishing most undergrad courses?
i have textbooks for junior/senior physics courses in classical mechanics, electrodynamics, thermal physics, quantum mechanics, and mathematical methods for self learning. i have the Halliday Resnick sophomore book.
working backwards, i checked out Conceptual Physics 11th edition by Hewitt and found this book very helpful. What i liked most was how stimulating the pictures...
