AI Thread Summary
A biotech degree combined with an MBA in finance opens up diverse career opportunities, particularly in sectors like pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and biotech firms where financial acumen is valuable. Roles may include financial analyst positions, project management in biotech projects, or strategic planning roles that require both scientific and financial knowledge. While a Master's degree can enhance job prospects, certifications in finance or biotech-related fields may also be beneficial and provide a competitive edge. The integration of biotechnology and finance is increasingly relevant, as companies seek professionals who understand both the scientific and financial aspects of the industry.

My friend completed completed a biotech degree and is completing an MBA in finance. What kind of jobs can she get? Does she need to have a Masters to get a really good job? Or is getting certification in something is the best way to go? Can someone please advice?

That's a curious mix. How does biotechnology fit with finance? I'm only asking to gain perspective: I finished M.A. in Biology with specialization in biotechnology - it's deeply science-driven - there is not even a basic accounting course.
